CaribPR Wire, SEOUL, South Korea, Mon. Mar. 16, 2026: The dedication of the early believers who started in an apartment basement 42 years ago became the seed of a revival that today draws tens of thousands of faithful from around the world every year. At the heart of that growth lies a steadfast principle of faith rooted in the Word – the very essence of true belief.

Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Lee Man-hee; hereinafter “Shincheonji Church of Jesus”), a rapidly growing Christian denomination in South Korea, held a commemorative service on March 15th at Cheongju Church, Shincheonji Church of Jesus to mark its 42nd founding anniversary. The service was prepared as an occasion to look back on 42 years since its founding, to express gratitude for the sacrifices of Jesus, the martyrs, and the faith pioneers who came before, and to reaffirm the principle of “Word-centered faith.”

On the day, more than 2,000 members attended in person, while believers from South Korea and abroad also joined in real time via online livestream, adding further significance to the occasion.

Chairman Lee Man-hee reaffirms the principle of Word-centered faith at the 42nd founding anniversary.

In his proclamation of the Word, Chairman Lee Man-hee urged the congregation toward true faith, stating: “Just as John 1:1 declares that the Word itself is God, there can be no faith apart from the Word. Today, as we mark our 42nd founding anniversary, let us gather our hearts once more and strive to have a faith that is recognized even before God and the angels.”

Chairman Lee also emphasized the importance of the Book of Revelation, saying: “Revelation 22 states that anyone who adds to or takes away from this book will not enter heaven and will receive a curse. If one truly believes in the Word of God, one must examine whether they have added to or taken away from Revelation.”

Early Believers Reflect: “The Secret to Shincheonji’s Growth Is the Overwhelming Power of the Word”

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, now a globally recognized denomination, did not begin in a building – it began on mountains and in open fields. In an era when there was no proper place of worship, Chairman Lee Man-hee gathered with those who had followed the Word and held mountain worship services, before proclaiming the founding of Shincheonji on 14 March 1984.

The first-generation believers who laid the groundwork for Shincheonji’s growth carried a particularly deep sense of reflection as they welcomed the 42nd anniversary service. Bak Bok-yeong (70, female), a member who had been with Shincheonji Church of Jesus even before its founding, recalled: “It was such an immense joy to finally have my thirst for the Word quenched – I believed with gratitude and gladness. Thanks to the fullness that the revealed Word brought, the difficult conditions were no obstacle at all.” She added: “Now, seeing tens of thousands of believers flock here every year, I realize it is ultimately the power of the Word that has moved people’s hearts. All of this is the power of the Word, and the grace of God.”

Jo Myeong-suk (73, female), who joined in 1992, likewise shared: “While praying for the assurance of salvation and a desire to understand the true meaning of the Bible, I came across Shincheonji Church of Jesus. The depth I encountered was on an entirely different level, and that conviction led me to join.” She emphasized the secret behind Shincheonji’s growth across generations, adding: “Then as now, it seems that believers who hunger for the Word find their way here.”

Indeed, since its founding on 14 March 1984, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has dedicated itself to proclaiming the fulfilled realities of the Book of Revelation throughout the world. This spread of the Word is clearly reflected in the work of Zion Christian Mission Center, Shincheonji’s Bible education center. Beginning with the Graduation for Class 1 of Zion Christian Mission Center in 1991, the Center produced over 100,000 graduates in a single year in 2019 – a milestone unprecedented in religious history. Last year, 59,192 graduates of Zion Christian Mission Center’s Class 116 gathered at Cheongju Church, Shincheonji Church of Jesus. A significant number among them were international graduates, demonstrating that the gospel of Revelation is spreading across the globe.

Shincheonji Marks 42nd Anniversary with Active Exchange and Community Service

Now in its middle years of faith, Shincheonji Church of Jesus is expanding its engagement with the wider world. The church has been actively building relationships through Word exchange MOUs and sign change MOAs with pastoral communities at home and abroad. As of last year, cumulative Word exchange MOUs have reached 969 churches in South Korea and 14,347 churches across 89 countries overseas. Through sign change MOAs, 129 churches in South Korea and 1,729 churches across 48 countries have changed their church signs to Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus has also fulfilled its social responsibilities by taking the lead in practical relief efforts during national crises. During the COVID-19 pandemic, 3,741 members donated plasma to support the development of treatments. In 2022, amid a nationwide blood shortage, more than 70,000 members completed blood donations within just two weeks, playing a pivotal role in resolving the crisis. The church has also dispatched large-scale volunteer teams to major disaster sites – including the Taean oil spill, the 2017 Pohang earthquake, and the Andong-Uiseong wildfires – to assist in recovery efforts. In addition, the church continues to carry out everyday care activities for marginalized members of local communities, including medical services for foreign workers and meal-sharing programs for elderly people living alone, practicing the value of “love” as taught by Jesus.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus stated: “The past 42 years have been a remarkable journey brought about by the dedication of our members alongside the unchanging essence of the Word of God. Going forward, we will do our utmost to spread the value of unwavering truth, rooted in the faith with which we began.”

Joint Press Conference Raises Concerns Over Religious Freedom and State Neutrality in South Korea

CARIBPR WIRE, Seoul, South Korea, Mon. February 2, 2026: The Coalition for Democracy and Freedom of Religion, (CDFR), a civil society alliance, held a joint press conference in front of the Blue House fountain in Seoul, releasing a statement criticizing recent remarks and investigative directives issued by senior government officials.

Through the press conference, the Coalition officially announced its launch and stated that “state-level stigmatization and pressure targeting specific religions raise serious concerns about undermining the freedom of religion and the constitutional principle of separation of religion and state.” CDFR is a coalition composed of civic, religious, and social organizations in South Korea, with participation from a broad range of figures, including religious figures representing Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, as well as legal professionals, university professors, and leaders of civil society organizations.

The event, titled “Joint Press Conference for the Protection of Constitutionally Guaranteed Freedom of Religion,” drew approximately 100 participants and featured the reading of a joint statement followed by keynote presentations from the Coalition’s co-representatives. The statement was read by Ven. Beop San, the executive chief of the Jogye Order of Daegak Buddhism and a co-representative of the Coalition. This was followed by presentations from four speakers representing Buddhist, Christian, and Islamic communities, as well as civil society, who addressed the potential impact of government labeling specific religions on constitutional order and democratic principles.

In its statement, the Coalition cited Article 20 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, which guarantees freedom of religion and mandates the separation of church and state, as well as Article 10 (human dignity) and Article 11 (equality before the law). The Coalition argued that repeated official references to certain religions as “pseudo-religious,” “heretical,” or “harmful” risk creating tension with the principles of religious neutrality and non-discrimination required in a democratic society.

The statement was prepared following a January 12, 2026 luncheon meeting between President Lee Jae-myung and religious leaders, during which, according to the Blue House Spokesperson Kang Yoo-jeong briefing, the President expressed agreement with remarks by some religious leaders stating that “the damage caused by pseudo-religious and cult groups such as the Unification Church and Shincheonji is severe,” adding that “the harm has grown because it has been left unchecked for too long in our society.”
The following day, Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, during a Cabinet meeting, described the Unification Church and Shincheonji as “social evils that must be eradicated,” ordering a comprehensive, government-wide joint investigation and response. These remarks were cited by the Coalition as representative examples of the issue at hand.

At the press conference, the Coalition stated that “regardless of whether criminal allegations are under investigation, the practice of senior government officials broadly defining specific religious groups in negative terms risks undermining the state’s obligation of religious neutrality.” It further argued that the progression from opinions raised at a religious leaders’ meeting to strong language delivered at a Cabinet meeting could lead to misunderstandings regarding the constitutional principle of separation of church and state. Some observers have also noted that, despite certain religious organizations’ documented participation in volunteer work, blood donation campaigns, and other forms of social engagement, they have been subject to sweeping negative characterizations without the presentation of specific criminal findings.

Emphasizing that South Korea is a state party to the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, (ICCPR), the Coalition stated that “recent government responses warrant careful examination as to whether they align with international human rights standards.” The Coalition called on the United Nations (UN), and organizations dedicated to freedom of religion or belief, democracy, and human rights worldwide to conduct independent reviews and issue official statements, including recommendations, regarding whether the current situation in South Korea complies with constitutional values and international norms.

In closing, the Coalition urged the government to cease all actions that incite hatred toward particular religious groups and that wrongfully wield state power; issue a public apology for discriminatory remarks made by the President and Prime Minister and pledge to prevent any recurrence; and establish communication frameworks that ensure equal respect for all religions and beliefs. “Freedom of religion is not an issue concerning a single group,” the Coalition emphasized, “but a fundamental standard for the entire democratic society.”

CARIBPR WIRE, SEOUL, South Korea, Weds. Jan. 21, 2026: Criticism of the South Korean government is rising after senior officials publicly stigmatized a specific religious group. An order calling for investigation and “eradication” of the group was issued, resulting in allegations of religious persecution. Global leaders – including U.S. President Donald Trump – have expressed concern that such actions may undermine fundamental principles of democracy, particularly freedom of religion and the separation of church and state.

Many observers have expressed concern about the contrast between South Korea’s image as a K-Pop and K-Drama cultural powerhouse and a growing perception that the nation exhibits signs of democratic regression.

South Korean President and Prime Minister Label Religious Group a “Cult,” Call for “Eradication” – Drawing Criticism

On January 12, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung publicly condemned Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereafter referred to as “Shincheonji”), and other religious groups, declaring that “the harm they cause to society has been left unchecked for too long, resulting in serious damage.”

The following day, Prime Minister Kim Min-seok echoed the president’s remarks during a cabinet meeting, ordering a joint investigation into the “pseudo-religious group” and “cult” aimed at its “eradication.” Following these statements, a joint team of law enforcement agencies was assembled and investigations are underway. Ongoing discussions in the National Assembly regarding the appointment of a special prosecutor have prompted concerns about additional compulsory measures to follow—including a search-and-seizure operation.

Article 20 of the Constitution of South Korea guarantees freedom of religion as a fundamental right. Even so, statements made by President Lee Jae Myung (without any judicial ruling) targeting Shincheonji as responsible for social harm have prompted concerns that “state authority is fostering stigma and hostility toward a specific religion.” Critics assert that the president’s remarks seem to undermine constitutional and democratic principles. President Lee Jae Myung’s election follows the impeachment of South Korea’s former president, which occurred after an unconstitutional declaration of martial law.

Shincheonji Responds: “Repeated Targeted Investigations Amount to Religious Discrimination”

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, founded in 1984 by Chairman Lee Man-hee, is a rapidly growing Christian organization, reporting increases of over 100,000 members a year. Some analysts suggest that the group’s expansion and visibility may have contributed to heightened political and social scrutiny. The organization first became a major focus of state action during the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020. At the time, authorities conducted large-scale investigations over alleged violations of infectious disease laws. Shincheonji reported more than ten search-and-seizure operations targeting its headquarters and branch churches.

President Lee Jae Myung, who was the governor of Gyeonggi Province at the time, adopted a hardline stance, personally leading a forced entry into Shincheonji’s headquarters. South Korean courts later acquitted Shincheonji of major charges, including alleged violations of the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act. In response, Shincheonji stated that “although numerous complaints and accusations have been filed against us, courts have consistently dropped charges or ruled ‘not guilty,’” adding that “issues already resolved by the judiciary are now being recycled as tools for political and public attacks.” The church emphasized that it is “a religious community with no intention of engaging in political conflict,” and urged authorities to “stop using a specific religion as a scapegoat while speaking of national unity.”

International Scrutiny Intensifies as President Trump and Democracy Advocacy Groups Voice Concern

International concern has grown since U.S. President Donald Trump alluded to allegations that the South Korean government has conducted “very vicious raids” on churches and entered U.S. military bases to gather information. In August, the president’s post on Truth Social indicated that “a purge or a revolution” in South Korea could be taking place. Observers note that it is highly unusual for the leader of an allied nation to publicly express concern over another country’s internal law enforcement practices. In December, the International Democracy Union, (IDU), stated that South Korea should be monitored for adherence to core governance principles and the protection of fundamental rights. Resolutions of this nature directed at South Korea are rare, especially on issues related to governance and the rule of law.

Freedom of religion is expressly protected under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, (ICCPR), and any interference by the state must meet standards of legality, proportionality, and minimal restriction. This case poses a fundamental question for liberal democracies: To what extent can the state intervene in religious matters and fundamental civil rights? International attention is turning to the future of South Korea’s democracy as it bears the weight of this question.

CARIBPR WIRE, CHEONGJU, South Korea, Mon. Nov. 3, 2025: Tens of thousands of believers who had long struggled to understand the Bible gathered once again at Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, declaring that they have “mastered the Book of Revelation.”

<img class="size-full wp-image-16358 " title="Shincheonji Produces 60,000 Graduates" src="https://caribpr.com/uploads/2025/11/Shincheonji-Produces-60000-Graduates.jpg" alt="At the 'Zion Christian Mission Center 116th Graduation Ceremony' held at Cheongju Church in the Tabernacle of Witness of Shincheonji Church on Nov. 2, 2025.
According to the church, 59,192 people completed the program through the Zion Christian Mission Center, a biblical education institute operated by Shincheonji Church of Jesus (Chairman Lee Man-hee). The group said the graduates are “believers who have mastered the entire Bible from Genesis through Revelation.”

The Zion Christian Mission Center offers a structured curriculum covering the full Bible, emphasizing prophecy and fulfillment to help students understand the flow of God’s will and scripture. To graduate, students must complete three levels—elementary, intermediate, and advanced—and score at least 90 percent on a comprehensive exam.

Standing before the crowd, Chairman Lee said, “Scripture warns that if you add to or subtract from God’s word, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven” (Revelation 22:18–19). “Our church masters Revelation,” he said. “If you truly seek genuine faith, come to Shincheonji and learn.”

He added, “Too many people claim to believe in Jesus yet fail to follow the Bible completely. Do not rely on church authority—examine for yourself whether your faith aligns with the scriptures.”

Despite increasing persecution, criticism, and opposition toward Shincheonji, nearly 60,000 people graduated this year. The number of pastors among them continues to grow, with more than 13,500 pastors completing the program in the past four years.

One of the featured testimonies came from graduate Oh Seon-kyung, a former pastor who said she had planted three churches before joining Shincheonji.

At the 'Zion Christian Mission Center 116th Graduation Ceremony' held at Cheongju Church in the Tabernacle of Witness of Shincheonji Church of Jesus on Nov. 2, 2025, former pastor Oh Seon-kyung gave a speech as a representative.

“I thought I was a true Christian dedicating my life to the Lord’s kingdom and glory,” she said. “But deep inside, I carried a heavy burden: I couldn’t understand Revelation. Even after reading the Bible more than 30 times, I couldn’t find the answers. Ashamed before my congregation, I eventually stepped down from ministry.”

She recalled that her perspective changed after joining the Zion Mission Center. “On the first day of class, my heart opened within an hour. Every lesson was rooted solely in scriptural logic and truth,” she said. “Now I can boldly declare, ‘I have mastered the Book of Revelation!’”

Tan Young-jin, general director of the Zion Christian Mission Center, said the continued growth of graduates despite public misunderstanding is evidence of divine work.

<img class="size-full wp-image-16361 " title="Shincheonji 2025 graduation" src="https://caribpr.com/uploads/2025/11/Shincheonji-2025-graduation.jpg" alt="On Nov. 2, 2025, the graduates who participated in the 'Zion Christian Mission Center 116th Graduation Ceremony' held at Cheongju Church in the Tabernacle of Witness of Shincheonji Church of Jesus give glory to God.
“Even amid extreme prejudice, the number of people transformed by the word continues to increase,” he said. “Our graduates have come to understand the true realities of the Bible that even pastors had not learned. A new era of faith—transformed not by knowledge but by truth—is dawning.”

The graduation ceremony, themed “Love and Blessing: Light Illuminating the World,” filled the church in Cheongju with about 20,000 graduates. Due to limited space, additional participants joined remotely from Shincheonji churches across Korea and abroad via livestream.

MARTHA’S VINEYARD, Mass., Sept. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Leveraging Africa’s projected 25% of the global population by 2050 and the Black American $1.6 trillion buying power, according to the World Economic Forum, the T.D. Jakes Group officially launched ‘The Global Exchange: Unlocking Wealth & Opportunity Across the Diaspora’ this month, a new initiative to unify the diaspora’s collective influence. The inaugural gathering, held August 7-8, 2025, on Martha’s Vineyard, convened global leaders to forge new economic and cultural ties between Africa and its descendants worldwide.

<br />

Founded and curated by global leader and entrepreneur, T.D. Jakes, The Global Exchange looks to be more than an annual convening. Hosted on one of America’s most storied and symbolic shores, it marked the beginning of a long-term vision to repair the historic fractures caused by centuries of displacement and silence between Africa and its global descendants. Held at the height of Martha’s Vineyard’s cultural season, the inaugural activation convened an intentionally diverse and cross-sector chorus of voices from Africa to the Americas, from the private sector to the pulpit, and from family legacies to first-generation pioneers.

Reimagining Unity Through Collaboration

From former U.S. Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo, who helped shape federal economic policy during the pandemic, to two of Zimbabwe’s richest individuals, Shingai & Karen Mutasa, a creative force in Africa’s investment, fashion and philanthropy circles, the gathering symbolized a meeting of the world’s largest GDP (U.S.) and fastest-growing GDP (Africa).

“We cannot repair what was broken in silence if we refuse to speak across oceans. From Nairobi to New York, from Ghana to Georgia, and from Kingston to Kansas City, our work, our ideas, our sense of urgency, and our faith must guide not only our philanthropy, but our purpose in the world,” remarked Jakes. “Reconnecting the diaspora isn’t just about heritage it’s about healing, shared leadership, and shaping the future with innovation, disruptive solutions and intelligence. This is a call to action.”

This activation also marked the first time Jakes recorded two official episodes of his forthcoming iHeartMedia podcast slate before a live audience.

The gathering featured four signature experiences:

“Healing the Divide: Mental Health, Black Masculinity & Ministry of Reconnection” with veteran White House correspondent April Ryan, mental health expert Dr. Jay Barnett, and psychologist Dr. O’Shan Gadsden.

“Capital Investments & Doing Business in Africa” redefined the continent as a collaborator, not a charity case, through the lived insights of economic leaders Wally Adeyemo and Shingai & Karen Mutasa.

“Innovative Technologies on the African Continent & Beyond” spotlighted emerging fintech, AI, and sustainable infrastructure opportunities with thought leaders including Jim Anderson, Google, Leke Osinubi, Goldman Sachs and Brian AM Williams, innovator.

“Community Building & Wealth Creation Through Real Estate” elevated commercial development as a tool for social justice and generational wealth with Teneshia Warner, EGAMI Group; Maurice Coleman, Bank of America; and Todd McDonald, Liberty Bank.

Bridging Diasporic Realities with Global Relevance

Africa is on track to represent one in four people on Earth by 2050, positioning the continent as a central force in shaping the future of labor, innovation and economic power. Meanwhile, the World Economic Forum estimates the global Black economy will surpass $6.8 trillion by 2027. Building on this momentum, future activations of Jakes’ The Global Exchange will focus on fostering transatlantic collaboration through real estate, technology, and targeted investments to catalyze scalable, community-rooted pathways to wealth and influence.

First of Its Kind Overseas with Significant Pastor Participation… Expanding Scripture-Centered Fellowship

CARIBPR WIRE, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, Thurs. Aug. 28, 2025: On the 18th of August, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Peter Tribe, Tanzania Church (led by Pastor Yoon Hyun-chul, hereafter referred to as Shincheonji Tanzania Church) conducted an open Revelation Bible exam with local Protestant pastors and Shincheonji members in major cities, including Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

1.	On the 18th of August, Shincheonji Peter Tribe Tanzania Church conducted an “Open Revelation Bible Exam” in four major Tanzanian cities with 98 local Protestant pastors and 40 Shincheonji members.

The purpose of this exam was to evaluate whether believers, as the saints who hope for heaven, have kept the words of Revelation (Rev 22:18–19), which all believers must know, and to encourage each person to stand rightly before God. The exam consisted of 10 main questions and 33 sub-questions; all centered on Revelation. Participants reflected not just on knowledge, but on whether they truly believed and practiced according to the Word.

A total of 138 participants took the exam, including 98 local Protestant pastors and 40 Shincheonji members. Unlike last year’s exam in Korea—where only one pastor from a traditional denomination participated—this marked the first time a large number of pastors overseas took part.

2.	Local Tanzanian pastors and Shincheonji members who took the “Open Revelation Bible Exam” on August 18th pose for a commemorative photo holding their exam papers.

The results showed a notable difference between groups (Shincheonji members scored an average of 95 points, while Protestant pastors scored an average of 7 points). However, the primary goal was not to rank participants, but to create an opportunity for self-reflection through Revelation and to draw closer to God.

One participating pastor said: “Seeing Shincheonji members write their answers so confidently today made me reflect on my faith and calling as a pastor. I will study Revelation through the Shincheonji Zion Christian Mission Center, lead my congregation on God’s path, and teach them correctly so they can enter heaven.”

3.
Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has consistently emphasized Revelation 22:18–19, saying, “To enter heaven, one must not add to or subtract from the words of Revelation, but fully understand and keep them.”

He has also stated, “The standard for discerning truth and falsehood, orthodoxy and heresy, is not human tradition or doctrine, but the Word of the Bible alone,” highlighting the necessity of testing faith by the Bible.

Previously, Shincheonji Church of Jesus held a similar Bible exam in Korea with pastors from traditional churches, drawing attention at the time. Among 313 participants, only one pastor from an established denomination joined. This Tanzanian event, therefore, is significant as the first instance of large-scale pastor participation overseas.

A Shincheonji Church representative commented: “The Bible exam is not just a test of knowledge, but a way to confirm whether one’s standard of faith is truly the Word of the Bible. We are grateful that more pastors are gradually joining both domestically and internationally. We hope more churches and believers will unite and interact based on Scripture.”

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2018, Shincheonji Tanzania Church has grown steadily, with about 2,440 members as of August this year. The church continues to work toward spreading Scripture-centered faith through active exchanges with local pastors.

CARIBPR WIRE, SEOUL, South Korea, Tues. April 15, 2025: On April 9, the French branch of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus strongly refuted an article published by Le Parisien on April 7, criticizing it as a biased and sensational portrayal of the church. The article, titled “They Treated Us Like Animals,” labeled Shincheonji a “problematic evangelical group” and was largely based on the testimony of an anonymous former member. The church stated that it severely misrepresented their faith community.

The church explained it had submitted detailed responses to 12 questions from the journalist, totaling thousands of characters, but only two sentences were included in the article. A church spokesperson said this selective reporting deprived readers of a fair view and suggested the article was a pre-planned smear.

“If more information was needed, the journalist could have visited us directly,” the church noted, emphasizing its openness to transparent communication.

To share genuine experiences, the church released member testimonies. Teresa, a member for six years, said faith was a personal choice, while Axel shared that the church gave him meaning and fulfillment, including meeting his wife through church activities.

The church condemned the article’s title as sensational and misleading, insisting that no one has ever been treated in the way described. It also denied influencing a couple’s breakup, explaining that the relationship ended due to personal differences, not church pressure.

A photo cited in the article as evidence of corporal punishment was also refuted. The individual in the photo, still a member, claimed it was taken in jest before he joined and plans legal action for misrepresentation.

The article’s mention of a “training camp” was clarified as a voluntary short-term program for spiritual growth, which has since been discontinued to prevent misunderstanding. The church also rejected claims of data collection, internet restrictions, or encouraging family disconnection.

Regarding the “ECA Academy,” the church said it was a temporary name for a Bible course, with participants informed it was affiliated with Shincheonji.

Shincheonji urged the media to report responsibly, include diverse perspectives, and avoid sensationalism that fosters prejudice. “Biased reporting harms religious freedom and human rights,” the church stated, calling for higher journalistic standards and ongoing dialogue for better understanding.

Jan. 22, 2025: The Passover Commemorative Service and the 41st General Assembly was held on the 15th at Cheongju Church. Shincheonji achieved a great milestone of ‘110,000-Graduation Ceremony’ last year, and they are aiming for even greater growth this year.

(Source: Shincheonji Church of Jesus)

This annual event featured key participants, including the 12 Tribe Leaders, the heads of a church, the 24 leaders, and the heads of senior’s department, men’s department, women’s department, and young adult department. This gathering was an opportunity to review last year’s achievements and set the direction for the year ahead.

The service, presided by the general secretary of the headquarters Lee Gi-won, included a special video presentation, a prayer by the Busan James Tribe Leader Sung Chang-ho, a sermon by Chairman Lee Man-hee, and an awards ceremony recognizing evangelism achievements.

In his sermon, Chairman Lee stated, “Today’s Passover is not the same as in Moses’ time. Back then, the Egyptians could escape disaster by marking their homes with lamb’s blood. Today, it is the words of Revelation that serve as the mark to avoid calamity.” He emphasized the importance of understanding and recognizing the fulfillment of Revelation, urging believers to study and confirm its teachings to secure their place in heaven.

Lee continued, “Faith is the path to heaven, but it is small and narrow. It is essential to understand the Word correctly, follow it as a guide, and strive to meet the qualifications for entering heaven.” He also highlighted the necessity of self-reflection to determine whether one has mastered Revelation and adhered to its teachings.

He concluded by stating, “The prophecies of the Old Testament were fulfilled with Jesus’ first coming, and the New Testament will be completed with His second coming. In this era of Revelation fulfillment, we must understand and achieve the faith that leads to heaven.”

Shincheonji Church is acknowledged for their major accomplishments from last year, particularly in teaching the Bible and evangelizing domestically and internationally. The 115th graduation ceremony of Zion Christian Mission Center, held at Cheongju Church after a last-minute venue cancellation by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, saw a record-breaking 111,628 graduates, showcasing Shincheonji’s growth.

A notable achievement was establishing itself as a hub for Bible education through its Revelation lectures, drawing attention from numerous pastors and believers.

According to Shincheonji, from April 14 to December 8 last year, over 154,000 people attended events where Chairman Lee spoke, including over 3,000 pastors who participated in sermons and evangelism seminars.

These efforts led to 326 new Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for Bible study collaborations, nearly half of the total 767 MOUs signed in recent years. Additionally, 79 Protestant churches domestically switched their signs to the Shincheonji Church, further solidifying its presence in the Christian community.

The event was attended by over 100 Protestant pastors from the Seoul metropolitan area and a total of approximately 13,800 people.

“Jesus, who is holy and without sin, bore (the sins of humanity) in our place. Through this, a (new) path of life was opened for us. This is why Jesus became our Savior.”

Chairman Lee Man-hee stated this in his sermon during the “Christmas Commemoration Service” held in Shincheonji Suwon Church by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereinafter Shincheonji Church of Jesus) on the 25th.

On this day, about 100 Protestant pastors participated the “Christmas Commemoration Service” hosted by Shincheonji Church of Jesus and shared in the celebration.

Chairman Lee explained the true meaning of Christmas and further urged attendees to never forget the sacrifice of Jesus, who shed his blood for the atonement of our sins, and to live out a life of faith in accordance with the Bible, today at the time of Revelation’s fulfillment.

On December 25, congregants listen to the sermon during the “Christmas Commemoration Service” held at Shincheonji Suwon Church in Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. © Shincheonji Church of Jesus

Chairman Lee reiterated, “God has been working to save humanity. Jesus, following God’s will, took upon himself the sins of the world to save us.” He continued, “This is why the world commemorates the birth of Jesus today. If Jesus had not borne the sins of the world, humanity would have faced destruction like in the time of Noah.”

Chairman Lee emphasized, “The purpose of our faith is to enter the kingdom of heaven. This is why we have persevered through all hardships until today. The Book of Revelation is fulfilled at the Second Coming of Jesus, who promised its fulfillment during his first coming.”

On December 25, Chairman Lee Man-hee and the 12 tribe leaders pose for a commemorative photo during the “Christmas Commemoration Service” held at Shincheonji Suwon Church in Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. © Shincheonji Church of Jesus

Chairman Lee stated, “What Shincheonji Church of Jesus testifies to is not what will happen in the future but the actual fulfillment of prophecy. If the reality of Revelation is being testified, shouldn’t people come quickly to listen and confirm it for themselves?”

He added, “Failing to confirm the reality of Revelation means one’s faith is not rooted in the Bible but outside of it. Isn’t it better to have faith based on understanding rather than ignorance?”

Addressing the Protestant pastors present, Chairman Lee emphasized, “Every shepherd must teach their congregation the truth exactly as it has been fulfilled in Revelation.” With this, he concluded his sermon.

On December 25, congregants form a welcoming line during the “Christmas Commemoration Service” held at Shincheonji Suwon Church in Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. © Shincheonji Church of Jesus

On December 25, over 12,000 members of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus John Tribe, including those from Suwon Church and Seoul and southern Gyeonggi Province, welcomed Chairman Lee Man-hee and visiting pastors. Congregants lined the streets, extending nearly 700 meters around the church, holding signs that read “Welcome” and “We love you” to greet attendees.

Lee Hyun-soo (28), a member of Shincheonji Church, shared, “I came with great anticipation to see and hear firsthand the words of someone who has witnessed God’s work unfolding. I hope the visiting pastors also leave with much grace today, which is why I joined the welcoming line.”

The colorful reception featured traditional Korean percussion bands, honor guards, military bands, and other performances. Passersby, including local citizens and shop owners, stopped to watch the festive procession. One shopkeeper remarked, “It’s surprising to see such a long line of people right outside my store during the Christmas holidays. I think anyone would feel joy being welcomed like this.”

A total of 13,800 people, including pastors, congregants, and citizens, participated in the event.

During the service, a Baptist pastor reflected, “This was not just a celebration but a meaningful time to deeply consider the significance of Christmas. It also helped me think about how to guide my congregation’s faith. It was a moving and comforting experience amidst a chaotic world.”

A Shincheonji Church representative explained, “Chairman Lee’s sermon today showed how Jesus’ blood is working in Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has been created according to the Bible. This was acknowledged by the Protestant pastors who attended, and we aim to continue fostering open communication and cooperation with Protestant pastors moving forward.”

At 93 years of age, Chairman Lee continues an active ministry. Since January, he has visited over 70 Shincheonji branch churches across South Korea to hear members’ concerns, teach about the fulfillment of Revelation, and emphasize the importance of Bible-based faith.

By Chairman Lee Man-hee, Shincheonji Church of Jesus

CARIBPR WIRE, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, Dec. 23, 2024: At the First Coming, Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament and prophesied the New Testament. He took on the sins of the world and bore the cross, and promised to return. However, the Jews at that time rejected him, persecuting and calling him a “heretic” and “the devil”. This shows the state of the world at that time.

Just as Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament, he promised to fulfill the New Testament. He prophesied that there would be persecution at the Second Coming, when the New Testament fulfills. At both the first and second comings, those who persecute are not non-believers but those who claim to believe. Furthermore, He warned that anyone who adds to or takes away from the Book of Revelation would be unable to enter heaven but receive curses (Rv 22:18-19). It has been about 2,000 years since he gave this warning. Yet today, Christians have added to and subtracted from Revelation in various ways. Despite this, pastors act as though they understand Revelation, deceiving their congregations.

The true shepherd sent by God is someone who has seen and heard all the events of Revelation and testifies to its reality (Rv 22:8, 16). This individual, like Jesus at the First Coming, eats the revealed book (Rv 10), witnesses, and proclaims the fulfillment of Revelation. However, today’s Christian pastors have added to and subtracted from the Book of Revelation entirely. Even when they meet the promised shepherd of Revelation, they refuse to believe and persecute him, labeling him a heretic. Indeed, this is the state of the world. It seems as though the term “end times” aptly describes the current state of the religious world.

The events of Revelation consist of betrayal, destruction, and salvation. When the prophecies of Revelation begin to fulfill, the three groups—betrayers, destroyers, and saviors—emerge, engaging in a great battle. Ultimately, the group that is victorious will live eternally in the coming world with God in the kingdom of heaven. This is the prophecy and fulfillment of Revelation. Currently, the promised shepherd who has witnessed all the events of Revelation is testifying to the prophecy and fulfillment. Verify it for yourself.

We are now living in the era of the fulfillment of the new covenant, Revelation. In this era, salvation comes from knowing both the prophecy of Revelation and its fulfillment. Let us hear and believe in the testimony of the promised shepherd regarding the words of Revelation and attain salvation.
