CaribPR Wire, SEOUL, South Korea, Mon. Mar. 16, 2026: The dedication of the early believers who started in an apartment basement 42 years ago became the seed of a revival that today draws tens of thousands of faithful from around the world every year. At the heart of that growth lies a steadfast principle of faith rooted in the Word – the very essence of true belief.

Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Lee Man-hee; hereinafter “Shincheonji Church of Jesus”), a rapidly growing Christian denomination in South Korea, held a commemorative service on March 15th at Cheongju Church, Shincheonji Church of Jesus to mark its 42nd founding anniversary. The service was prepared as an occasion to look back on 42 years since its founding, to express gratitude for the sacrifices of Jesus, the martyrs, and the faith pioneers who came before, and to reaffirm the principle of “Word-centered faith.”

On the day, more than 2,000 members attended in person, while believers from South Korea and abroad also joined in real time via online livestream, adding further significance to the occasion.

Chairman Lee Man-hee reaffirms the principle of Word-centered faith at the 42nd founding anniversary.

In his proclamation of the Word, Chairman Lee Man-hee urged the congregation toward true faith, stating: “Just as John 1:1 declares that the Word itself is God, there can be no faith apart from the Word. Today, as we mark our 42nd founding anniversary, let us gather our hearts once more and strive to have a faith that is recognized even before God and the angels.”

Chairman Lee also emphasized the importance of the Book of Revelation, saying: “Revelation 22 states that anyone who adds to or takes away from this book will not enter heaven and will receive a curse. If one truly believes in the Word of God, one must examine whether they have added to or taken away from Revelation.”

Early Believers Reflect: “The Secret to Shincheonji’s Growth Is the Overwhelming Power of the Word”

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, now a globally recognized denomination, did not begin in a building – it began on mountains and in open fields. In an era when there was no proper place of worship, Chairman Lee Man-hee gathered with those who had followed the Word and held mountain worship services, before proclaiming the founding of Shincheonji on 14 March 1984.

The first-generation believers who laid the groundwork for Shincheonji’s growth carried a particularly deep sense of reflection as they welcomed the 42nd anniversary service. Bak Bok-yeong (70, female), a member who had been with Shincheonji Church of Jesus even before its founding, recalled: “It was such an immense joy to finally have my thirst for the Word quenched – I believed with gratitude and gladness. Thanks to the fullness that the revealed Word brought, the difficult conditions were no obstacle at all.” She added: “Now, seeing tens of thousands of believers flock here every year, I realize it is ultimately the power of the Word that has moved people’s hearts. All of this is the power of the Word, and the grace of God.”

Jo Myeong-suk (73, female), who joined in 1992, likewise shared: “While praying for the assurance of salvation and a desire to understand the true meaning of the Bible, I came across Shincheonji Church of Jesus. The depth I encountered was on an entirely different level, and that conviction led me to join.” She emphasized the secret behind Shincheonji’s growth across generations, adding: “Then as now, it seems that believers who hunger for the Word find their way here.”

Indeed, since its founding on 14 March 1984, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has dedicated itself to proclaiming the fulfilled realities of the Book of Revelation throughout the world. This spread of the Word is clearly reflected in the work of Zion Christian Mission Center, Shincheonji’s Bible education center. Beginning with the Graduation for Class 1 of Zion Christian Mission Center in 1991, the Center produced over 100,000 graduates in a single year in 2019 – a milestone unprecedented in religious history. Last year, 59,192 graduates of Zion Christian Mission Center’s Class 116 gathered at Cheongju Church, Shincheonji Church of Jesus. A significant number among them were international graduates, demonstrating that the gospel of Revelation is spreading across the globe.

Shincheonji Marks 42nd Anniversary with Active Exchange and Community Service

Now in its middle years of faith, Shincheonji Church of Jesus is expanding its engagement with the wider world. The church has been actively building relationships through Word exchange MOUs and sign change MOAs with pastoral communities at home and abroad. As of last year, cumulative Word exchange MOUs have reached 969 churches in South Korea and 14,347 churches across 89 countries overseas. Through sign change MOAs, 129 churches in South Korea and 1,729 churches across 48 countries have changed their church signs to Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus has also fulfilled its social responsibilities by taking the lead in practical relief efforts during national crises. During the COVID-19 pandemic, 3,741 members donated plasma to support the development of treatments. In 2022, amid a nationwide blood shortage, more than 70,000 members completed blood donations within just two weeks, playing a pivotal role in resolving the crisis. The church has also dispatched large-scale volunteer teams to major disaster sites – including the Taean oil spill, the 2017 Pohang earthquake, and the Andong-Uiseong wildfires – to assist in recovery efforts. In addition, the church continues to carry out everyday care activities for marginalized members of local communities, including medical services for foreign workers and meal-sharing programs for elderly people living alone, practicing the value of “love” as taught by Jesus.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus stated: “The past 42 years have been a remarkable journey brought about by the dedication of our members alongside the unchanging essence of the Word of God. Going forward, we will do our utmost to spread the value of unwavering truth, rooted in the faith with which we began.”

Joint Press Conference Raises Concerns Over Religious Freedom and State Neutrality in South Korea

CARIBPR WIRE, Seoul, South Korea, Mon. February 2, 2026: The Coalition for Democracy and Freedom of Religion, (CDFR), a civil society alliance, held a joint press conference in front of the Blue House fountain in Seoul, releasing a statement criticizing recent remarks and investigative directives issued by senior government officials.

Through the press conference, the Coalition officially announced its launch and stated that “state-level stigmatization and pressure targeting specific religions raise serious concerns about undermining the freedom of religion and the constitutional principle of separation of religion and state.” CDFR is a coalition composed of civic, religious, and social organizations in South Korea, with participation from a broad range of figures, including religious figures representing Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, as well as legal professionals, university professors, and leaders of civil society organizations.

The event, titled “Joint Press Conference for the Protection of Constitutionally Guaranteed Freedom of Religion,” drew approximately 100 participants and featured the reading of a joint statement followed by keynote presentations from the Coalition’s co-representatives. The statement was read by Ven. Beop San, the executive chief of the Jogye Order of Daegak Buddhism and a co-representative of the Coalition. This was followed by presentations from four speakers representing Buddhist, Christian, and Islamic communities, as well as civil society, who addressed the potential impact of government labeling specific religions on constitutional order and democratic principles.

In its statement, the Coalition cited Article 20 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, which guarantees freedom of religion and mandates the separation of church and state, as well as Article 10 (human dignity) and Article 11 (equality before the law). The Coalition argued that repeated official references to certain religions as “pseudo-religious,” “heretical,” or “harmful” risk creating tension with the principles of religious neutrality and non-discrimination required in a democratic society.

The statement was prepared following a January 12, 2026 luncheon meeting between President Lee Jae-myung and religious leaders, during which, according to the Blue House Spokesperson Kang Yoo-jeong briefing, the President expressed agreement with remarks by some religious leaders stating that “the damage caused by pseudo-religious and cult groups such as the Unification Church and Shincheonji is severe,” adding that “the harm has grown because it has been left unchecked for too long in our society.”
The following day, Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, during a Cabinet meeting, described the Unification Church and Shincheonji as “social evils that must be eradicated,” ordering a comprehensive, government-wide joint investigation and response. These remarks were cited by the Coalition as representative examples of the issue at hand.

At the press conference, the Coalition stated that “regardless of whether criminal allegations are under investigation, the practice of senior government officials broadly defining specific religious groups in negative terms risks undermining the state’s obligation of religious neutrality.” It further argued that the progression from opinions raised at a religious leaders’ meeting to strong language delivered at a Cabinet meeting could lead to misunderstandings regarding the constitutional principle of separation of church and state. Some observers have also noted that, despite certain religious organizations’ documented participation in volunteer work, blood donation campaigns, and other forms of social engagement, they have been subject to sweeping negative characterizations without the presentation of specific criminal findings.

Emphasizing that South Korea is a state party to the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, (ICCPR), the Coalition stated that “recent government responses warrant careful examination as to whether they align with international human rights standards.” The Coalition called on the United Nations (UN), and organizations dedicated to freedom of religion or belief, democracy, and human rights worldwide to conduct independent reviews and issue official statements, including recommendations, regarding whether the current situation in South Korea complies with constitutional values and international norms.

In closing, the Coalition urged the government to cease all actions that incite hatred toward particular religious groups and that wrongfully wield state power; issue a public apology for discriminatory remarks made by the President and Prime Minister and pledge to prevent any recurrence; and establish communication frameworks that ensure equal respect for all religions and beliefs. “Freedom of religion is not an issue concerning a single group,” the Coalition emphasized, “but a fundamental standard for the entire democratic society.”

CARIBPR WIRE, CHEONGJU, South Korea, Mon. Nov. 3, 2025: Tens of thousands of believers who had long struggled to understand the Bible gathered once again at Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, declaring that they have “mastered the Book of Revelation.”

<img class="size-full wp-image-16358 " title="Shincheonji Produces 60,000 Graduates" src="https://caribpr.com/uploads/2025/11/Shincheonji-Produces-60000-Graduates.jpg" alt="At the 'Zion Christian Mission Center 116th Graduation Ceremony' held at Cheongju Church in the Tabernacle of Witness of Shincheonji Church on Nov. 2, 2025.
According to the church, 59,192 people completed the program through the Zion Christian Mission Center, a biblical education institute operated by Shincheonji Church of Jesus (Chairman Lee Man-hee). The group said the graduates are “believers who have mastered the entire Bible from Genesis through Revelation.”

The Zion Christian Mission Center offers a structured curriculum covering the full Bible, emphasizing prophecy and fulfillment to help students understand the flow of God’s will and scripture. To graduate, students must complete three levels—elementary, intermediate, and advanced—and score at least 90 percent on a comprehensive exam.

Standing before the crowd, Chairman Lee said, “Scripture warns that if you add to or subtract from God’s word, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven” (Revelation 22:18–19). “Our church masters Revelation,” he said. “If you truly seek genuine faith, come to Shincheonji and learn.”

<img class="size-full wp-image-16359 " title="Shincheonji 2025 Graduates" src="https://caribpr.com/uploads/2025/11/Shincheonji-Graduates.jpg" alt="At the 'Zion Christian Mission Center 116th Graduation Ceremony' held at Cheongju Church in the Tabernacle of Witness of Shincheonji Church of Jesus on Nov. 2, 2025, President Lee Man-hee presents certificates to the representatives of the graduates.
He added, “Too many people claim to believe in Jesus yet fail to follow the Bible completely. Do not rely on church authority—examine for yourself whether your faith aligns with the scriptures.”

Despite increasing persecution, criticism, and opposition toward Shincheonji, nearly 60,000 people graduated this year. The number of pastors among them continues to grow, with more than 13,500 pastors completing the program in the past four years.

One of the featured testimonies came from graduate Oh Seon-kyung, a former pastor who said she had planted three churches before joining Shincheonji.

At the 'Zion Christian Mission Center 116th Graduation Ceremony' held at Cheongju Church in the Tabernacle of Witness of Shincheonji Church of Jesus on Nov. 2, 2025, former pastor Oh Seon-kyung gave a speech as a representative.

“I thought I was a true Christian dedicating my life to the Lord’s kingdom and glory,” she said. “But deep inside, I carried a heavy burden: I couldn’t understand Revelation. Even after reading the Bible more than 30 times, I couldn’t find the answers. Ashamed before my congregation, I eventually stepped down from ministry.”

She recalled that her perspective changed after joining the Zion Mission Center. “On the first day of class, my heart opened within an hour. Every lesson was rooted solely in scriptural logic and truth,” she said. “Now I can boldly declare, ‘I have mastered the Book of Revelation!’”

Tan Young-jin, general director of the Zion Christian Mission Center, said the continued growth of graduates despite public misunderstanding is evidence of divine work.

<img class="size-full wp-image-16361 " title="Shincheonji 2025 graduation" src="https://caribpr.com/uploads/2025/11/Shincheonji-2025-graduation.jpg" alt="On Nov. 2, 2025, the graduates who participated in the 'Zion Christian Mission Center 116th Graduation Ceremony' held at Cheongju Church in the Tabernacle of Witness of Shincheonji Church of Jesus give glory to God.
“Even amid extreme prejudice, the number of people transformed by the word continues to increase,” he said. “Our graduates have come to understand the true realities of the Bible that even pastors had not learned. A new era of faith—transformed not by knowledge but by truth—is dawning.”

The graduation ceremony, themed “Love and Blessing: Light Illuminating the World,” filled the church in Cheongju with about 20,000 graduates. Due to limited space, additional participants joined remotely from Shincheonji churches across Korea and abroad via livestream.

National team coach Kim Deok-hoon said, “As this is an international competition, many excellent athletes both domestic and abroad participated and competed at a high level,” and added, “I am proud that the players demonstrated their skills without wavering. Based on this competition, we will systematically prepare a training system and strategy so that we can have more players and improved skills next year.”

There, 12 participants participated, including 2 first place, 4 second place, and 5 third place, continuing their record of consecutive awards in international competitions.

The Shincheonji team has established itself as a team that possesses both skill and stable team management. Shincheonji Church of Jesus is actively engaged in cultivating talent and healthy community activities in various fields such as sports, culture, and art as well as religious beliefs, and plans to continue to achieve a healthy life and social contribution through sports in the future.

CARIBPR WIRE, SEOUL, South Korea, Weds. Jan. 22, 2025: The Passover Commemorative Service and the 41st General Assembly was held on the 15th at Cheongju Church. Shincheonji achieved a great milestone of ‘110,000-Graduation Ceremony’ last year, and they are aiming for even greater growth this year.

(Source: Shincheonji Church of Jesus)

This annual event featured key participants, including the 12 Tribe Leaders, the heads of a church, the 24 leaders, and the heads of senior’s department, men’s department, women’s department, and young adult department. This gathering was an opportunity to review last year’s achievements and set the direction for the year ahead.

The service, presided by the general secretary of the headquarters Lee Gi-won, included a special video presentation, a prayer by the Busan James Tribe Leader Sung Chang-ho, a sermon by Chairman Lee Man-hee, and an awards ceremony recognizing evangelism achievements.

In his sermon, Chairman Lee stated, “Today’s Passover is not the same as in Moses’ time. Back then, the Egyptians could escape disaster by marking their homes with lamb’s blood. Today, it is the words of Revelation that serve as the mark to avoid calamity.” He emphasized the importance of understanding and recognizing the fulfillment of Revelation, urging believers to study and confirm its teachings to secure their place in heaven.

Lee continued, “Faith is the path to heaven, but it is small and narrow. It is essential to understand the Word correctly, follow it as a guide, and strive to meet the qualifications for entering heaven.” He also highlighted the necessity of self-reflection to determine whether one has mastered Revelation and adhered to its teachings.

He concluded by stating, “The prophecies of the Old Testament were fulfilled with Jesus’ first coming, and the New Testament will be completed with His second coming. In this era of Revelation fulfillment, we must understand and achieve the faith that leads to heaven.”

Shincheonji Church is acknowledged for their major accomplishments from last year, particularly in teaching the Bible and evangelizing domestically and internationally. The 115th graduation ceremony of Zion Christian Mission Center, held at Cheongju Church after a last-minute venue cancellation by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, saw a record-breaking 111,628 graduates, showcasing Shincheonji’s growth.

A notable achievement was establishing itself as a hub for Bible education through its Revelation lectures, drawing attention from numerous pastors and believers.

According to Shincheonji, from April 14 to December 8 last year, over 154,000 people attended events where Chairman Lee spoke, including over 3,000 pastors who participated in sermons and evangelism seminars.

These efforts led to 326 new Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for Bible study collaborations, nearly half of the total 767 MOUs signed in recent years. Additionally, 79 Protestant churches domestically switched their signs to the Shincheonji Church, further solidifying its presence in the Christian community.

By Chairman Lee Man-hee, Shincheonji Church of Jesus

CARIBPR WIRE, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, Dec. 23, 2024: At the First Coming, Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament and prophesied the New Testament. He took on the sins of the world and bore the cross, and promised to return. However, the Jews at that time rejected him, persecuting and calling him a “heretic” and “the devil”. This shows the state of the world at that time.

Just as Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament, he promised to fulfill the New Testament. He prophesied that there would be persecution at the Second Coming, when the New Testament fulfills. At both the first and second comings, those who persecute are not non-believers but those who claim to believe. Furthermore, He warned that anyone who adds to or takes away from the Book of Revelation would be unable to enter heaven but receive curses (Rv 22:18-19). It has been about 2,000 years since he gave this warning. Yet today, Christians have added to and subtracted from Revelation in various ways. Despite this, pastors act as though they understand Revelation, deceiving their congregations.

The true shepherd sent by God is someone who has seen and heard all the events of Revelation and testifies to its reality (Rv 22:8, 16). This individual, like Jesus at the First Coming, eats the revealed book (Rv 10), witnesses, and proclaims the fulfillment of Revelation. However, today’s Christian pastors have added to and subtracted from the Book of Revelation entirely. Even when they meet the promised shepherd of Revelation, they refuse to believe and persecute him, labeling him a heretic. Indeed, this is the state of the world. It seems as though the term “end times” aptly describes the current state of the religious world.

The events of Revelation consist of betrayal, destruction, and salvation. When the prophecies of Revelation begin to fulfill, the three groups—betrayers, destroyers, and saviors—emerge, engaging in a great battle. Ultimately, the group that is victorious will live eternally in the coming world with God in the kingdom of heaven. This is the prophecy and fulfillment of Revelation. Currently, the promised shepherd who has witnessed all the events of Revelation is testifying to the prophecy and fulfillment. Verify it for yourself.

We are now living in the era of the fulfillment of the new covenant, Revelation. In this era, salvation comes from knowing both the prophecy of Revelation and its fulfillment. Let us hear and believe in the testimony of the promised shepherd regarding the words of Revelation and attain salvation.

Shincheonji Church 12 Tribe Leaders Strongly Condemn Constitutional Violations and Religious Oppression Call for Apology and Compensation from Gyeonggi Province and the Organization

__________________________________________________________________

CARIBPR WIRE, SEOUL, KOREA, Sat. Nov. 30, 2024: Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has long been subjected to human rights violations and religious oppression, is currently drawing attention for its large-scale protests, expressing anger over the recent infringement on constitutional rights.

On October 29-31, the Gyeonggi Provincial Governor Kim Dong-yeon and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization (CEO Jo Won-yong) abruptly canceled the venue reservation for Shincheonji’s event at the Peace Nuri Square in Imjingak, Paju, on the very day of the event, October 29. This cancellation has sparked suspicions that it was influenced by entrenched Protestant groups, leading Shincheonji to express outrage over what it calls “violations of the Constitution,” “religious oppression,” and “biased administration.”

Shincheonji Church’s leaders, including the 12 tribe leaders, have taken the forefront in condemning this action. In their statement, they declared, “We can no longer tolerate actions that directly violate the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of religion.” As a result, the leaders have organized large-scale protests, with approximately 2,000 members of each tribe joining the protests in front of Gyeonggi Province Hall and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, continuing their condemnation of the actions.

The first large-scale protest on the 15th of the month saw over 30,000 participants gather in front of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office. Subsequent protests were held on the 18th (Gyeonggi Province: Bartholomew Tribe), the 20th (Gyeonggi Province: Seoul James Tribe, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization: John Tribe), the 22nd (Gyeonggi Province: Peter Tribe, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization: John Tribe), the 25th (Gyeonggi Province: Simon Tribe, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization: John Tribe), and the 27th (Gyeonggi Province: Andrew Tribe, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization: John Tribe).

Between the 18th and 22nd, over 4,500 people participated in the protests, and on the 25th and 27th, approximately 3,500 attendees gathered. Each week, the streets around Gyeonggi Province Hall and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization are filled with Shincheonji members, expressing their anger over what they view as unconstitutional actions. Protestors, holding signs that read “What is this biased religious oppression?!” have been staging sit-in protests for about an hour. Participants, including doctors, teachers, nurses, and university students, represent a wide range of professions and ages.

On the 27th, a group of religious leaders visited Gyeonggi Province Hall to present a formal protest letter to Governor Kim Dong-yeon. The letter called for an apology from Governor Kim and for the responsible parties to be held accountable. The letter also demanded measures to prevent the recurrence of religious discrimination. While only 20 religious leaders attended in person, the petition had 1,735 signatories, including 402 religious organizations, 758 religious representatives, and 977 individuals from various sectors.

One Shincheonji member stated, “Not only us, but Buddhists, Cheondoists, Presbyterians, and people from other religious backgrounds are also condemning Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization.” He added, “Before it is too late, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization must apologize and offer compensation for their biased actions against religious groups.”

Citizens who observed the protests expressed their support. Seo Young-sook (incognito), who operates a restaurant near the protest site, said, “It’s clear that the governor was wrong,” and added, “Shincheonji members are not going to back down. The governor needs to apologize quickly.”

Despite their anger, the Shincheonji members maintained an orderly and peaceful demeanor throughout the protests, which attracted attention for being exemplary religious gatherings. This has been praised as a model for religious groups in demonstrating their messages in a peaceful and impactful manner.

The leaders of the 12 tribes of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Testimony (Shincheonji), have begun to raise a strong voice of condemnation against Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, driven by their firm determination to no longer overlook administrative actions that directly violate the Constitution, which guarantees religious freedom. Around 1,000 members of the Bartholomew Tribe gathered for the event to strongly protest in defense of religious freedom guaranteed by the Constitution and to oppose biased religious persecution. Earlier, on the 15th, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus held a similar rally with around 30,000 participants in the vicinity of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office to condemn biased religious persecution.

On the 20th, approximately 1,500 members of the Seoul James Tribe (led by Shin Gyu-su) of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Testimony, gathered in front of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, to hold a “Rally to Condemn Biased Religious Persecution.” The photo shows the scene of the rally.

CARIBPR WIRE, WASHINGTON, D.C., Mon. June 17, 2024: “The teachings that explain the Book of Revelation were truly profound and amazing. I want to learn more about the Bible, and if invited to Korea, I will start preparing my ticket (airfare) right away.”

This was the impression shared by Pastor Delly Delphin Matondo of the Full Gospel denomination, who participated in the Bible Seminar held by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Lee Man-hee; hereinafter referred to as Shincheonji Church) in Paris, France on June 15 (local time).

Many other pastors who attended the European Bible Seminar also expressed a strong desire to hear more about Shincheonji Church’s teachings on the Book of Revelation.

The seminar took place at a critical time when measures were urgently needed as Europe’s Christian influence declined, with churches being sold off and repurposed as restaurants, bars, and clubs. This Bible Seminar was part of the “2024 Continental Bible Seminar” series that began in the Philippines on April 20, and was organized in response to numerous requests from pastors eager for a revival in Europe.

With over 7,000 participants, including 1,000 European pastors, the event garnered significant attention. Prior to the seminar, a discussion on “The Role of Pastors for the Spiritual Enlightenment of Christians Today” was held.

Following this, attendees watched a video lecture by Chairman Lee Man-hee from the “Shincheonji Bible Seminar: Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation” held in Korea on June 8.

In his lecture, Chairman Lee stated, “God’s work is fulfilled according to the unalterable Book of Revelation. Everyone listening to this lecture must know who is being referred to in Revelation,” emphasizing, “I hope all pastors will perceive these words and teach them to their congregants. You must teach your church members without adding or subtracting from Revelation.”

After Chairman Lee’s lecture, Simon Tribe Leader Lee Seung-joo provided an explanation of the meaning of biblical prophecies and their fulfillment, addressing European pastors with an appeal.

Tribe Leader Lee stated, “The fulfilled words of Revelation have life in them, and as more people are re-created in God’s image and likeness through these words, (European churches) will also experience revival. I encourage you to learn and testify from Revelation chapters 1 to 22 through Shincheonji Church’s Zion Christian Mission Center, which has produced over 100,000 graduates annually in recent years.”

During subsequent exchanges among pastors, a pastor from Austria commented, “I was impressed that Shincheonji Church focuses on the prophetic words written in the Bible. I want to work with enthusiastic and bright people for God’s kingdom and work. I would like to know how to collaborate and learn more about Revelation.”

A pastor from Poland also remarked, “Seeing European pastors and believers united brought tears to my eyes. I want to share these words with more people. Please tell me how I can spread this message to many others.”

According to data from the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in the United States, Europe’s Christian population increased to 560 million in the 2000s but has stagnated this year (2024) and is expected to decrease to 490 million by 2050.

As European society modernized and industrialized, it began to secularize. The rise of liberal theology led to a decline in Bible-based teachings within churches. Additionally, the rapid rise of atheism and religious pluralism, coupled with various clergy scandals, has caused Christianity to lose trust and struggle to find its direction. It is hoped that this Bible Seminar will serve as a catalyst for the revival of European churches.

A representative from Shincheonji Church stated, “After this Bible Seminar, many European pastors have inquired about how they can learn Revelation from Shincheonji Church. We are preparing places and programs where they can learn, and we will further activate Zion Christian Mission Centers across Europe to expand platforms for their education.”

The representative also mentioned, “Pastors worldwide have requested additional Bible Seminars to learn more about Revelation. We are planning and preparing a Bible Seminar at the end of this year to invite pastors from around the world to Korea. Through this event, we aim to create a platform where we can become one within God and His word.”

Meanwhile, according to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, as of June 5th this year, MOUs have been signed with a total of 12,538 churches in 83 countries overseas. Additionally, 1,341 churches in 41 countries have joined Shincheonji Church of Jesus and changed their signage. Furthermore, as of the end of May, the number of domestic and international pastors currently taking Bible education courses at Zion Christian Mission Center has reached 5,614.

CARIBPR WIRE, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, Weds. March 20, 2024: In 2023 alone, conflicts like the Russia-Ukraine war, the Israel-Hamas war, and numerous international disputes tragically claimed the lives of over 33,000 civilians and displaced millions. Recognizing this dire reality, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international peace NGO, held its 8th annual commemoration of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) on March 14th at its peace training institute in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. The event’s theme resonated deeply: “Building the Minds of Peace: Promoting Institutional Peace via Intercultural Dialogue and Understanding.”

Since the DPCW’s proclamation on March 14, 2016, HWPL has consistently held annual commemorative ceremonies to advocate for the institutionalization of peace. This year, the event gathered about 12,500 distinguished experts from diverse fields – political, legal, religious, educational, media, and representatives from women and youth sectors – both online and in person. Among participants, about 10,000 HWPL members moved in an orderly manner under the guidance of staff and filled the commemorative ceremony venue.

Drafted in collaboration with international legal specialists from 15 countries, the DPCW comprises 10 articles and 38 clauses. It outlines the principles and tools necessary to prevent and resolve conflicts, cultivate a peaceful global society, and defines clear roles for individuals, communities, and nations in achieving lasting peace.

In his congratulatory speech, H.E. Vidura Wickramanayaka, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs of Sri Lanka, said, “The commitment and dedication shown in the pursuit of peace projects have not only been commendable but have also laid the foundation for a more harmonious world. The tireless efforts of individuals and organizations working towards the common goal of ending war and fostering understanding among nations are truly inspiring.”

As President of the Daegak Buddhism Jogye Order in South Korea, Ven. Beopsan who has been participating in interreligious dialogue for nine years, emphasized the importance of religious leaders’ participation in peacebuilding efforts including comparative study of scriptures. He said, “Intercultural dialogue and understanding can be found at HWPL’s World Alliance of Religions’ Peace Office. The root of religion is one and its meaning is a truly noble value.”

Having pointed out that conflicts caused by religion have threatened global peace, Chairman Man-hee Lee of HWPL said, “Different religions should come together, learn each other’s values and become one by comparative study on scriptures. Religious communities should practice faith based on scriptures, so they can live with humanity on this earth. We must create a world where people communicate, cooperate, and help each other regardless of religion.”

Lastly, the ceremony concluded with a variety of performances depicting the journey of peace. During the performance, there was a session where the contents of Article 10, 38 clauses of the DPCW were explained through performance, and expressed an image of a paradise filled with flowers where peace was achieved.

Recently, various activities are being carried out around the world to institutionalize peace. In East Timor, a training course for journalists is planned to be held in 2024 to raise public awareness of peace. Mr. Otélio Ote, President of the Timor-Leste Press Council, said, “I am proud to announce our collaboration with HWPL through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to implement peace journalism education. This partnership underscores our shared commitment to promoting freedom of expression, press freedom, and the independence of media institutions. As we look ahead to 2024, the Timor-Leste Press Council is committed to supporting HWPL’s endeavors for the sustainable development of institutional peace based on intercultural dialogue and understanding.”

CARIBPR Wire, PASAY CITY, Philippines, Mon. Feb. 13, 2023:The 1st National Peace Convention was held on January 25, 2023 in the Philippines under the theme, “Peace Builds One Nation, One Future: Peace is Here.” It was attended by over 1,500 peace advocates to build a holistic roadmap towards the attainment of national unity through peace in consonance with the Marcos Administration’s agenda.

Dr. Ronald Adamat, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education, (CHED), and Founding Chairman of Volunteer Individuals for Peace, (VIP), spearheaded the event.

“We want peace to reign in our country. We want peace to be the language every one of us will speak and every Filipino and every foreigner will understand. Today, let’s declare peace as a pandemic. Infect people not to rest in peace but to live in peace,” said Dr. Adamat.

Dr. Adamat is the first Filipino recipient of the prestigious Mahatma MK Gandhi Prize for Non-Violent Peace awarded last year in recognition of his contributions to peacebuilding including the higher education.

In attendance also was Chairman Lee Man-hee of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light, (HWPL), a 92 year-old Korean war veteran.

“Peacebuilding in Mindanao after conflict is becoming known worldwide. This is the case of transforming death into life for peace. Starting with Mindanao and the Philippines, when we unite in love, peace will come to our world. For this reason, everyone in the Philippines has to become one and work together as messengers of peace,” said Chairman Lee.

The two peace advocates first met in 2017 during HWPL World Peace Summit held in South Korea. As an expression of their shared commitment to promoting peace, CHED and HWPL signed a Memorandum of Agreement, (MOA), in 2018 to integrate peace education in the higher education curricula.

The convention commenced with the first Plenary Session followed by parallel sessions in the afternoon. The parallel sessions were conducted separately for five sector groups – lawmakers and non-government organizations, academe and youth, religious and ethnic groups, women, and media. Each session drafted a resolution which contained their solidarity with the organizers’ peace-building efforts.

The five resolutions were consolidated during the second Plenary Session to call for President Bongbong Marcos to proclaim January 24th as ‘National Peace Day’ or “Truce Day”.

The date January 24th was proposed in commemoration of a civilian-led peace agreement signed at General Santos City in 2014 to boost reconciliation among the local communities. It was proposed by Chairman Lee to mediate between the existing conflict in Mindanao at the time. The date was later declared as ‘HWPL Peace Day’ by then Maguindanao governor Toto Mangudadatu in 2015 and BARMM Chief Minister and MILF Chairman Ahod Ebrahim in 2016.
