Sunwing Travel Group and Rex Resorts announce strategic alliance


CaribPR Wire, TORONTO, Oct. 02, 2018: Sunwing Travel Group announced today that the Group’s hotel division would begin operating six of Rex Resorts’ Caribbean hotels as part of a newly formed strategic alliance, effective December 01, 2018. As part of this landmark agreement, Sunwing’s growing hotel division plans to make significant improvements to each of the resorts over the coming years.

Mystique Royal St. Lucia will be the second addition to the Mystique Resorts brand, with the first opening later this month in Holbox, Mexico. The Starfish Resorts brand will see five new additions: Starfish Discovery Bay Resort, Barbados; Starfish Halcyon Cove Resort, Antigua; Starfish St. Lucia Resort, St. Lucia; Starfish Grenada Resort, Grenada and Starfish Tobago Resort, Tobago.

Bombardier Delivers First 90-seat Q400 Aircraft to SpiceJet

  • SpiceJet becomes the first airline to take advantage of the Q400 aircraft’s increased profit potential

CaribPR Wire, TORONTO, Sept. 21, 2018: Bombardier Commercial Aircraft today announced the delivery of its first 90-seat Q400 aircraft. The aircraft was handed over to India’s SpiceJet Limited (“SpiceJet”) the launch operator for the extra-capacity, 90-seat aircraft.

Biman Signs Order for Three New Bombardier Q400 Aircraft

CaribPR Wire, TORONTO, Canada Sept. 10, 2018: Bombardier Commercial Aircraft announced today that Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd. has ordered three new Q400 turboprops by signing a purchase agreement with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC).

Based on the list price of the Q400 aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately US$106 million.

“We are very pleased that Biman is expanding its Q400 fleet with this order for three new aircraft,” said François Cognard, VP, Sales, Asia Pacific. “The Q400’s greater seating and cargo capacity really set it apart from the competition. Furthermore, the Q400’s mix of turboprop economics and jet like performance were the best match for Biman’s mix of short and long-range routes. Operators coming back for more Q400 aircraft really validates the benefits of the aircraft’s unique characteristics.”

Biman firma un pedido de tres nuevos aviones Bombardier Q400

CaribPR Wire, TORONTO, Canada, Sept. 11, 2018: Bombardier Commercial Aircraft anunció hoy que Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd. ha ordenado tres nuevos turbohélice Q400 mediante la firma de un acuerdo de compraventa con la Corporación Comercial Canadiense (CCC).

Según el precio de lista del avión Q400, el pedido en firme está valorado en aproximadamente 106 millones de USD.

2018 Farnborough Air Show Marks Debut of Bombardier New ATMOSPHÈRE Cabin

CaribPR Wire, MONTRÉAL, Mon. July 16, 2018: Bombardier Commercial Aircraft unveiled the interior of the first CRJ Series aircraft with the new ATMOSPHÈRE cabin design on the opening day of the Farnborough International Air Show in the United Kingdom.

Bombardier showcased the new cabin alongside launch operator Delta Air Lines and supplier Zodiac Aerospace during its air show inauguration event.

“Our product is evolving, and this signature cabin design represents the latest innovation to our very successful regional jet program,” said Fred Cromer, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “This cabin design will add value to airlines, the feedback has already been very positive as demonstrated with the recent momentum we have gained in the market.”

The CRJ900 aircraft on static display at the airshow is painted in Delta Air Lines livery and fitted with the ATMOSPHÈRE cabin.

Bombardier will also emphasize its presence at the airshow from July 16-20 with a display of a Q400 aircraft in the colours of Ethiopian Airlines, as well as a Global 6000 business jet featuring the Premier Cabin.

Bombardier’s static display and chalet are located at OE26 and A5, respectively.

JW Marriott to raise its flag in Panama City

The tallest building in Panama set to rebrand in September 2018

PANAMA CITY, June 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ – Ithaca Capital today announced that the iconic Bahia Grand Panama Hotel in Panama City, housed in the tallest building in Panama and Central America, is set to become a JW Marriott® hotel.

The hotel, which originally opened in 2011, has been operating as an independent property since March 2018. Ithaca Capital, Hotel ToC and Marriott International signed agreements to rebrand the hotel as a JW Marriott, under a long-term management contract with Marriott International.
